How we use your details

This notice covers aispot.co.uk and the free AI Spot Check.

Updated 30 October 2026

Who we are

AIspot is a trading name of Ultimate Vision Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 14613662. Registered office: Office 4 Kingsway North, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, NE11 0JH. We decide how your details are used. For any question about your data, email hello@aispot.co.uk.

What we collect

When you ask for a free check, we collect:

• your shop’s web address
• your email address
• whether you ticked the box for a free monthly score

To stop abuse, we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address for about a day. Our web server also keeps standard logs, such as IP addresses and the pages visited, for a limited time to keep the site secure.

What we do with it

• We check your shop and email you the report. To do this, we read your shop’s public pages and ask AI assistants, such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, the kind of questions your customers ask. We never give them your email address.
• If you ticked the box, we email you your AI score once a month. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• We reply if you write to us about your report.

We don’t add you to any other mailing list, and we don’t sell your details.

Our legal reasons

• The report: you asked for it, so we use your details to provide it. The law calls this a step you asked for before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the free check.
• The monthly score: you agreed by ticking the box. You can withdraw that at any time.
• Logs and the abuse check: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe.

Who else handles it

• Our hosting provider runs the server and the mailbox that hold your request.
• AI assistants get your shop’s web address and shopping questions, never your email.

Where it is stored

Our web server and mailbox are in Istanbul, Turkey. [How we protect data stored outside the UK: to confirm]

How long we keep it

• Free check requests: 12 months.
• The monthly score: until you unsubscribe.
• The scrambled IP code: about a day.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your details, to limit or object to how we use them, and to give you a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@aispot.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
